5 tips for achieving a youthful glow

There are not many women, or men out there who wouldn’t wish to achieve a youthful glow. Rather than looking fake or overly made-up, a youthful glow is defined by skin that is fresh and radiant, with a totally natural appearance.

Although this is the ultimate goal for many people, it is also achievable if you follow these five simple tips:

1. Drink plenty of water

Loss of moisture is one of the main factors that contributes to ageing skin, so ensuring you drink enough water as part of your daily routine can help to give it the natural moisture it needs. It is recommend that you drink two litres of water a day to stay healthy – ensuring you drink this amount could also help to keep your skin looking great too.

2. Use natural moisture-boosting products

Drinking water can help to replenish hydration levels on the inside, but treating your skin to moisturising ingredients on the outside can also help to boost these skin saving results further. Hyaluronic acid is perfect for this, with its ability to hold 1000 times its weight in water, it binds and retains moisture in the skin and reduces fine lines caused by dehydration.

3. Invest in a derma roller

Derma rollers are part of many people’s essential beauty tool kit. This is because they can be used to help many skincare concerns such as oversized pores, scarsstretch marks and the appearance of ageing. By penetrating the skin, they create small punctures that then causes the skin to repair itself. By replacing the old, damaged skin with a new layer, a youthful glow is instantly achieved.

4. Treat your face to high quality masks

Using face masks regularly can be a great treat to look forward to at the end of the week, helping you to relax and unwind while also giving your skin a welcome boost of anti-ageing components. Although it sounds unconventional, ingredients such as sheep placenta have become well known for their anti-ageing properties, rich in nutrients that rejuvenate organic tissue!

5. Protect your skin from the sun

Alongside loss of moisture, sun damaged skin can show the signs of ageing much sooner than sun that has been protected. Investing in a daily moisturiser with SPF 15 is a good way to defend your skin from the harmful UV rays. If it’s too late, using derma rollers combined with vitamin C serumtranexamic acid and other soothing products can help to reduce any existing damage, making way for younger looking skin.
